  1. Also that dumb bish, better go see a colleague and get psychoanalyzed. She should not evaluate or help anybody's mental status with an attitude like that she might actually be doing worse damage to them she's better replaced with a stuffed animals

  2. Oh God….George Washington is now in their crosshairs…🤭 The founding fathers are all racist, slave owning bigots! Down with the Republic!!!🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️

  3. Why don't they show demonstrations of black people when they are kings and queens in their own country where we weren't always in change we taught Caucasian people how to survive show that f**** history

  4. so George Washington was a racist man. no wonder Amerikkka is going down.
Good will always triumph the Evil.

  5. You can't just get rid of stuff you don't agree with. This is exactly what happened when painting and books were burned during our earlier history of the world. We are better than this. Leave it up, let people know how this country formed, and spark discussion. Get past it.

  6. No matter how many murals you take down, nothing will change history. Acknowledge it and learn from it, no use trying to hide from it.

  7. THIS IS ART – you may like it OR you may hate it – it does NOT give you the right to DESTROY IT………..!

  8. AS A PSYCHOLOGIST IN EUROPE – with no political agenda here, can I just
say to all the people screaming in the comments about the terrible,
liberal, snake oil salesman field of psychology.
We see people with your views ever day – they are universally dragged
in to see us by family and friends or even court order.
You irrationally disparage the profession because you fear what the
profession will tell you and deep down you suspect people you know what
you to go see a psychologist.
Rational, well-balanced people DO NOT have an opinion on psychologists
one way of the other – you have to have a reason to give the profession
the thought time to develop an opinion – and you have to have a reason
to fabricate a vociferous negative opinion………………
You want proof? Whats your opinion on geologists? You dont have one do you? You dont have vicious negative opinions on geologists – because they dont affect your life. But psychologists – thats different.

  9. Snowflake the trauma is real. Wind, rain, and snow cause trauma, let’s get rid of the weather. Next George Washington will traumatize the snowflakes. Watch, it’ll happen.

  10. It's a great mural. It's the story of America, however we depict it. We know the history of our country is not perfect and George Washington wasn't the greatest. But there were worse than him and he was a decent human being, by all accounts. I never look away from the history of our country. Out of so much ugly, has come so much good.

I vote for not covering it up. Taking the bad with the good and learning from it.
Being too sensitive or protective, is no good and is worthless to the next generation. Are we to let our kids walk blindly out in to the world? They need knowledge to survive some of the tougher things. As a psychologists, she should know that. They learn these lessons in class and see these pictures across the web. So what are you really covering up anyway?

  11. That woman, in addition to screaming like a lunatic has a daughter so sensitive that she's traumatized by a mural, is a psychologist? I feel sad for them for they can never experience the joy of walking into an art museum or reading history. God forbid they ever come across Howard Zinn's 'A peoples history of the United States', their heads would literally explode. Good on the students for opposing its removal.

  12. Boy, if a painting on a wall traumatizes you how do you deal with a flat tire- losing your job- getting sick – losing a loved one- missing a flight? She’s a licensed psychologist, probably has $50,000 in student loans, and thinks our society is to blame.

  13. Education is not mesmerizing all the men that terrorized other people. Education is learning how millions of people thought it was necessary. Education is spotting the signs of history repeating itself.
Are you educated? We sick boss syndrome

  14. Its not education its white supremacist on display. Willie brown is a fuck sell out he would have never said that when he wanted our votes. He destroyed the black community in SAN FRANCISCO by himself. He ran out any part of blackness but you wanna keep racism.Die old nigga

  15. Put the Mural in a college, I feel it is traumatizing to young students who are learning still of the horrific treatment at that time and white children Who are still being taught Racism can be very cruel at that age

  16. It is literally insulting colonists, idiots. I am pretty left, but this is moronic. The mural was a Communist jab at colonialism.

  17. A problem for America is to accept the truth history has buried.
One of the biggest reasons America broke with British rule was the colonial expansion west breaking treaties with native Americans. That taxation without representation was a cover story for the real ugly truth. American colonists wanted to kill natives for their lands and they did it. It is as much a lie as the Alamos heroes they were mostly mercenaries fighting to make slavery legal in Tejas.

  18. 600,000 dollars to remove that mural that money should be used for school supplies and free lunches for all for the coming school year if they have money to burn ..it will at least make a difference

  19. WB trippin, I'm so tired of looking at slavery. As black people we need to celebrate our greatness, not dwell on our downfalls. Paint a mural on The great African nations we built before slavery. Show Obama hell. Anything but negative images. It plants a silent seed of white supremacy, just like white Jesus…

  20. The mural depicts history. Agreed that its current location may be inappropriate and give the wrong idea to young minds. They should perhaps consider the possibility of moving it to a museum or art gallery.

  21. the usual norm back then was to "whitewash" the truth, since the painter was a communist, he wasn't going to adhere to the "truths" of the establishment, instead he showed our history warts and all. to cover over an honest depiction would be wrong.

  22. California passed a law. The California Racial Mascots Act. Banned the use of Native American imagery as mascots in the state.

Several high schools in California still use/have Native American mascots. Calaveras High Schools is still called “Chief Digger”

Nobody bats an eye. A law was passed and nobody did a thing. Loudest voice doesn’t matter when those tasked with enforcing the law fail to act.

  23. If CNN really wanted to do a story of racism In California Schools they should do a report on the failure of the implementation of the California Racial Mascots Act. My daughter still goes to a high school where the mascot is called “Chief Digger”. Calaveras High School in Calaveras County. Home of the Redskins where the children still dress in Redface. Completely against the law. AB 30 The California Racial Mascots Act.

But you wouldn’t do that. Native Californians aren’t black.

Indentured servitude laws as they applied to California Natives wasn’t repealed until 1937. Black slaves were slaves for only a few decades. California Indians were not only enslaved by the Spanish but were victims of genocide. Can’t report on that much white guilt.

Do a report on the implementation of AB 30, The California Racial Mascots Act and how all the racist still won because media like CNN fail to follow up.

  24. I wouldnt want to go to school and see that shit everyday.. It offers bad vibes and traumatizing memories. True history or not.

  25. I am a Liberal and I think it should stay because it shows our real history and just how bad it really was and is.

  26. Hooray! down with slave owners. Next we should take down the Colosseum and the Great Pyramids, the Romans and Egyptians had slaves!

  27. All I hear is Leslie's voice in my head explaining a Wamopoke Indian mural to the horrified audience during a cut scene at Pawnee city hall

  28. 😂😂😂😂😂. If college students really act like this, we have bigger problems. Lolol. Go to class! Maga20

  29. Right, the people who are oppressed and suffered from it are supposed to get over the past but yet we are constantly reminded of it. I can attest though that they must be proud of their demonic ways and ignorance.

Leave it up there then, it will forever remind us of their terrible Deeds as if we don't have enough history marked already. It's absolutely disgusting the excuses being made. By the way..

  30. glorify? I don't think so. just because it bothers you dosen't mean it needs to be removed. we gotta face the dark

  31. History should traumatize people. Maybe then we'll learn from our mistakes. Unfortunately, everyone wants to pretend that it never happened. And that's when history will repeat itself.

  32. I say leave the mural: just add a plaque describing the artist’s background of criticizing America’s racist history & his intention to expose/educate students on such atrocities that took place in this country. Don’t take it down; add the proper context.

  33. I don't mind it because it shows the truth. I am against anything that glorifies white supremacy, white brutality, colonialism, racism and/or Kim Kardashian. If the artist hated racists, this painting does none of those things. This is old school shade. It appears to be an uncomfortable truth that some whites don't want to deal with. Why is that??? f it needs to come down, put one up of the Trail of Tears.

  34. This is not about being racist the artist projected what he saw first hand as a foreigner and put it up in everyone's face. It's important not to FORGET History…don't hide the reality of the past always remind others how horrible people are and will be.

  35. All I learned in school was His-Story and found out it was all a lie. They don't tell you about all of the wars lost just the ones they won .

  36. Calm the fuck down idiots. There are real issues out there. This lady is a psychologist and screaming her head off haha. Yeah? Are you a psychologist? Haha way to represent your knowledge.

  37. Why does it cost $600,000 to remove it or cover it? Outrageous. Take a picture of it and get $10 buckets of paint from the hardware store. Max spending should be $1000. Geez

  38. I am Native not a liberal It should it should remain to show people what happened To never let it happen again. It also shows after all that has happend to people of color in America we are still here..

  39. Oh ya it does that painter did the so children to see who there so called leaders truly are ,Human vampires feasting off the people

  40. Removing a robert a Lee statue and this mural are two different things. Racism shouldn't be hidden away, the only way for a community or country to get rid of racism, they have to face it and accept the wrong doings of the past and right now currently. Just look how Germany and how they got rid of the nazi past they have.

  41. if we hid what they did in the past, they will do it again in the future, by leaving it up, you're exposing who they were and who they are….

  42. Sensoring history is dangerous. History is a tool to learn to not repeat evil done in the past. But sensoring historic art, books, statues, flags ect. is dumb but also a dark act of facism….

  43. The mayor is making a good point. Placing Black men between 2 horses and prompting the horses to go, as well as slicing a full term pregnant woman from throat to pelvis to allow the baby to drop out in front of all the other enslaved people is definitely a teachable moment I've recently learned. Yep, tell the TRUTH about domestic terrorism.

  44. If your child would seriously be traumatized by this you raised some sissy ass children made a fragile glass. I hope my kid never has to interact with your cry baby kids! This is coming from a leftist libertarian that wants nothing to do with you centrist fake liberals!

  45. Literally this is a mural condemning America's dark history and these fuckwads are saying its racist/traumatizing? hahahahahahahahah

  46. The mural is the TRUTH. Would you prefer a mural that depicts Washington and his troops as cute fluffy pussy cats? Or maybe one of him chopping down the cherry tree? If you are a 'licensed psychologist' you should know that the most damaging trauma – on both a personal and social level – happens as a result of being LIED to .

  47. i see it as a very accurate portrait of our racist history! It hardly describes “White Supremacy”, it’s what actually happened. Washington was a racist and a man of that period in history. Not sure how any of them could reconcile Christian teachings and their racism. If there is a hell, i guess we know where to find our founding fathers!!

  48. Do they actually teach in the school classes based on the murial. If this about education then leave it but if it is there and not utilize then there may be some traumatic connotations due to ignorance for minority students.

  49. Wow. You know a far-left idea is truly beyond-the-pale insane when even CNN is forced to give balanced, reasonable coverage.

Speaking of – why all the downthumbs, given that this video is actually fine, for once? Do people just downvote every CNN video on principle?

  50. The truth hurts!!! This why art exist…it is a depiction of life, its struggles, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

  51. I think it should stay bc , it is teaching tool and majority rules

If the students want it and The Pic is not used wrongly then it should stay

  52. Don’t remove it. Erasing the mural won’t erase what happened. If you can’t stand to see the mural god help you when you find out what actually happened.

  53. It should be left alone……to remind us how things were back then and how the past is repeating itself…..since this racist fascist lying tyrant has taken over the white house….! # seek the truth #Chicano

  54. I don't know. It's like having naked people on the wall. Even tho schools teach science and anatomy, doesn't mean it's appropriate to have it painted on the wall. It is a part of American history so relocating it to a museum is just best. It should definitely not be destroyed.

  55. Really? I think the mural is actually critical of slavery, as well as a tacit indictment of America's 'roll right over 'em' mentality in history towards the indigenous people that were here first. But that's just my take on first glance. On second glance, I stand by it. It strikes me as being done from a critical standpoint rather than one of glorification. The artist was obviously unafraid to illustrate the ugly truth side of America's otherwise rich and flamboyant history.

That idiot woman screaming "I'm a licensed psychologist" needs to get her college money refunded.

  56. If they want that mural removed, then what the hell are they teaching the kids in history class? Disney stories?

  57. Ridiculous. It is good for the mural to stay, it shows what really happened and that is the way it is not forgotten. Well done for keeping things real. It seems that only whites get offended when confronted by their acts and want to hide them, whilst their victims don't forget but can look forward.
